Our engagement rings are a symbol of our commitment to one another and to our future marriage. We chose to follow the European tradition of both partners wearing rings to signify the commitment.
Denise's Ring
Peter chose for Denise a traditional solitaire ring with an iolite as the central stone, flanked with 2 diamonds. An iolite is blue-violet colored gem that was used by the Vikings to tell the direction of the sun on a cloudy day. As Denise is drawn to the sea and the sun this stone was a perfect match for her. In addition, iolite is thought to bring harmony, enhance leadership ability and self confidence.
Peter's Ring
Denise chose a stingray leather and silver ring for Peter. The look of this ring is unique and striking and with the mocha color it was the perfect choice for him. It was also perfect, given his passion for the marine world and the creatures that live there. Stingray leather is also thought to bring good fortune and luck and comes from Southeast Asia.
